Particulary, the stainless steel sensing finger that is connected to the float.. This finger slides on a copper winding and it determines how much fuel is in the tank by the float bobbing up or down.. The finger is worn from rubbing up and down over the years.. Its nice to get something out of it.. If it lets you know when your close to E then that is a good thing.. New Fuel tanks will not come with the sending unit.
